MUD27

27/04/2023

Wow straight back into it. Following our big birthday celebrations last week MUD is heading home. We're locking-in to our familiar last-Thursday-of-the-month next week at dear old Ancient World to host a very special performance with David Moran.

David is an Australian cellist with broad musical interests specialising in the interpretation of exploratory music. He recently completed a Master’s degree at Monash University under the supervision of Prof Cat Hope. David's thesis, which was awarded a H1, focused on the impacts of extended cello techniques on virtuosity.

He also studied at the Australian National Academy of Music under Howard Penny and completed a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours at the University of Adelaide.
He has a longstanding duo with Dr Iran Sanadzadeh and is a regular casual cellist with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. David has also appeared on the ABC television program, ArtWorks in a segment on extended technique.

David has invited two incredible performance artists to collaborate in performance, they are Grace Marlow and Cynthia Schwertsik.

$20/$10 on the door. (Whichever you can afford and feels good on the day, your call). CASH please.

Poster artwork by our nearest and dearest, Madeleine Larkin.
